All items on this page should be booked in advance using your booking form. The facilities are heavily used especially in Summer so you should not assume availability.

                                  

The Spa

Overlooking the actual Antonine Wall and in complete privacy the Spa offers the ultimate in relaxation, exercise and fun!

It offers a

  • heated swimming pool open all year and heated every day and night to 28C/32C
  • hot tub
  • sauna
  • outdoor kitchen, indoor and outdoor seating areas, barbeques, wine chiller, dishwasher, glasses, plates etc
  • party room seating up to 25
  • lots of garden games - croquet, ludo, jengo etc

Book whenever it suits you.

Remember this area is not shared, you and your family and/or friends can enjoy all of the above in complete privacy! Maybe you would like to enjoy an hour of serious swimming in the morning before breakfast - and before children wake up! Or what about teaching your child to swim in our heated pool or share some water games with them in the afternoon then watch the sun set in the hot tub with a glass of something cold! Or enjoy breakfast overlooking the pool, have a barbie sweat off some excess holiday beer in the sauna, invite family and friends round... the possibilities are numerous!

Please note that there are additional charges for invited guests not staying in the cottage with you, these charges are £20 per guest using the facilities.

                                                       

 

 Hot Stone Massage @ £25

  • Enjoy a lovely relaxing hot stone massage - just pop over to our house have the massage then relax in the hot tub afterwards.
  • £25 for a 45 minute massage
  • Herbal teas and magazines available in the garden room after your massage                          

 

 

Hot Tub @ £55 for one cuddly session for 2

  • unlimited private use of hot tub
  • robes and slippers
  • bottle of wine or champagne as preferred
  • chocolates
  • sauna oils and hot tub bubble bath
  • candles, fairy lights and music
  • babysitting available - £5 per hour
  • pool and sauna can be added for £10 each

BBQ Hut hire @ £40

Lined with reindeer skins and snug and cosy inside with plently of space for up to 15 guests our barbeque hut is simply the best way to barbeque whatever the weather. Book the barbeque hut and we will light it for you ensuring that it is burning perfectly for your food, we will even light the candles, plump up the cushions and uncork your wine! Barbeque packs for 4 can be supplied for £20.

Babysitting

  • babysitting in your own cottage perhaps when you have dinner in the glenskirlie (best restaurant in Scotland 2003 and 2005, 10 minutes drive from our cottages) @ £5 per hour .

BBabysitting in your cottage is usually undertaken by my 18 year old son Matthew who has an advanced disclosure and first aid training. He works part time in a childrens play scheme too so your child will be completely safe and well looked after!

Dog walking

  • We are happy to dogwalk for you while you enjoy a canine free day in Edinburgh or Glasgow or want to undertake a long drive up North perhaps .
  • One 60 minute dog walk is £8
  • If you are away for more than 4 hours another 30 minute walk is £5.
  • Dogs left us must be very friendly and excellent with children
  • Dogs should be trusted to be left in your cottage while you are out. You must accept full laiability for any damage caused by your dog

Antonine Wall Walk - no charge

  • My husband Dave who is an part-time ancient historian with a specialty in Roman History is happy to offer Sunday morning walks along the Antonine Wall 11am to 12noon, usually accompanied by our cats! Find out what the lilia were used for, enjoy views of the Ochils and hear all about the Romans in Scotland. Children warmly welcomed. Must be booked in advance.

Box of Toys - no charge

  • Let us know the age of your child/children and we will put a large box of suitable games, toys and books in the cottage waiting for your arrival. You have no idea how easy this makes unloading the car!. You must let us know in advance on the booking form.

 

Honeymoon special - no charge

  • If it is your honeymoon please tell us and we'll arrange a wonderful " cuddle in the hot tub" for you one evening with a bottle of champagne
